Craving Sorrow

Craving Sorrow

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

And yet I craved the wretched sting of sorrow . . .

"

Cursed be the highest heavens

whom granted I an artificial heart of woe

yet despite the glee freed of depression

I craved the wretched sting of sorrow

Amidst the flawless whom joyously sung

muzzled notes yet to be crooned formed despite bliss

antiangelic voices developed not by my tongue

but from the unspoken thoughts of my inner masochist

Damning me to suffer amongst the deceased

a realm destined to me from which the gods have bestown

yet rather than despair I achieved spiritual peace

for I was at last among my own

I haven't taking a liking to this . . . Maybe I'll scrape everything but the first stanza and start over in the future.

Um.. It maybe not something your style, yet I still like it a lot! I don't think you should rewrite the whole thing, I think you can just let it be, and just see it as a writing of a different feeling... Anyways, great work :)

I hope you'll get better soon... Just smile more each day and those hard times will go away....

I wish it were that simple.

It's not simple.. but smiling help,s even just a little...
Doesn't feel like a Tai poem to me. "and yet I crave the wretched sting of sorrow" reads more like Tai than the lines of the poem do. Like if I wrote something sappy and romantic everyone would be like "What in the hell happened to Ricochet?"

I thought the same. It sounded far more gruesome in my head.
