La Llorona

La Llorona

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

The Weeping Woman weeps yet again . . .

"

Glistening scarlet navigates the dusty sunset

over-stuffed daunting corpses ever being mine

courtesy of the love flaring within me refusing to have fled

therefor I presented upon thee the salty lick of heaven's brine

Having been before the pearly gates denied

longing to shed tears of which I am undeserving

distributing amongst the oceans bitter weeps never cried

whilst seeking the beloved reason for my mourning

over-stuffed daunting corpses ever being mine. Classic Tai. Awesome

I can tell this has beautiful meaning, it has beautiful language . . . I'm afraid I'm just beyond comprehending. "over-stuffed daunting corpses ever being mine" this line hooked me, the wording.

That certain line is what started this whole poem; well, that, and the tale of La Llorona.

I guess I'll have to read up on her.
