Worthless

Worthless

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

Anything to make a use of me!

"

Gazing over the concrete forest

I found none a preferable habitat for me

as vicious serpents leaked the venom of bliss

matched only by the aconites' potency

why leer upon me with starving eyes

only to divert attention to the vulture circling the air

am I not desirable even for the slender mice

or unworthy of the pyromaniacs' oiling flare (?)

I beg of thee (!)

pluck the eyes out my sockets

and somehow make a use of me:

the worthless muck of s**t

quit snapping at unobtainable prey

they were never yours to eat nor will they ever be

instead pursuit me, hunt me down and lead me astray

and anything, so long as you make a use of me

"as vicious serpents leaked the venom of bliss
matched only by the aconites' potency" That's pretty killer. Love it.

"instead pursuit me, hunt" *pursue....? I think it should be pursue... but I haven't slept in a while so I may be seeing things haha
