Whispers

Whispers

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

How improbable . . .

"

I buried you myself,

Yet your whispers

Haunt me,

Beyond the

Realm of dreams,

Beneath the mortal

Glow of white daisies;

Daises sprouting amid a blizzard;

How improbable!

But,

There they were,

Tall as ever,

Strong as ever,

Fearless.

Dangerous.

Tangible drops of

Water in the drought,

Urging me to

Trod into that graveyard;

Unmindful of the

Halting grasp.

Thank you.
To me it sounds like a person who's had someone close to them die and are haunted memories. Everything around them doesn't seem to make sense, but they are starting to get better, but are soon provoked with the idea of joining their loved one...

What an interesting and emotional piece, thanks for sharing it with us..

Good piece Tai. I like the first Stanza particularly. It hints at a homicide but doesn't quite spell it out. Great work

You can interpret it that way. I absolutely left the fingerprints of regret on here . . .
Pushing daisies literally. *Smile* "Halting grasp" . . . I can only imagine the worst is in store for you my friend. To have left someone behind and have them return, I know how that is. Don't let the 'dead' get you down, remember the 'living'.
