Behind Glass

Behind Glass

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

Glass telescopes operated from terminals . . .

"

Scarlet drips around me,

whispering echoes

bouncing concrete walls

I constructed around me;

glass telescopes

operated from

terminals, so that

I could conceptualize

living.

You, oh, so, intriguing

figure, stared into my glass eyes,

innocence flaring beneath

glancing pupils,

a meticulous churn

of my stomach,

a joyous leap while I

prepared to stroll

outside,

just,

as,

you,

asked,

“Is this all there is?”

I like this one, it's very unique and stunning. Fast paced, reading it was almost like dancing really fast from word to word.
Very well done!

I really like the glass telescopes part. Good write Tai. Check out the wc writer willow if you get the chance. Her style reminds me a bit of you
