The Squirrel

The Squirrel

A Poem by Lane
"

My free verse poem about a squirrel I fed a cracker to that reluctantly came up tp me to be hand fed.

"

The statue of his posture

Like he won an   Oscar-

Pompous in his stingy ways.

Sitting on his hind limb,

Bucked eyes that pry

Begging another day.

He stores for the season

As if, needed a reason

Anxious for more-

Thrown on the floor

A heaping mound of-

Nuts
