Scared

Scared

A Poem by Lana

Scared to be missing out on something
This fear that you're only young for a little while so you have to rush to do fun things
Fear that you'll never master something

You can't figure out what you wanna do, how u wanna live
Scared you'll know but it'll be too late.
Scared of regrets,
Yet I have no wishes or dreams

Life is a vapid colorful horizontal line
That keeps on moving until you're blind
It doesn't stop for you, or check if you're fine
My greatest fear is time

But my biggest fear is
To not know what to do with it

Ah, the anxiety of youth! It’s odd that those with the most time are more anxious than those with less. You convey that well in your poem. And, yet, it’s a good thing; not the anxiety but caring about the present and the future. It’s the foundation of hope, the fuel that is human spirit. And, time gives us opportunities to try, fail, try again, and keep trying until we find our path.

You’ve done a fine job conveying the emotions so many experience on their personal journeys. Nice work.
