Atheist

Atheist

A Poem by Lana

I am so lost
Even when I'm on stage
With my Godless faith
I want to kneel down
Fall hard on my knees and feel like
I've left the town where a priest
Has preached to me
That I am only good for a feist
And the growls of the lion
Shall put fear in my gut
And make me cry out for God
Once and for all
I've left the town that has wanted me gone
Dead and gone
I want to be lost
With my Godless faith
And find the God in my hair
My face and my legs
I want to jump up
Even in the torture
Of my amputated legs
And fall down and the stitches
Make me bleed to death
All of my own doing
And look up to the sky and think
My God what are you doing?
Tell me where I shall be driving
The universe, the times, the wind
The sun and the stars
Am I special enough
For you to answer me?
Oh universe
You are an atheist
