The beach

The beach

A Poem by Lana

I live at the beach
Where the sea sparkles like diamonds
And the sound of seagulls perfumes the air
The winds caresses my hair and chest
And as I lay down on the sand
Its warmth massages my back
I could just stand there and cry
From the sun beaming on my eyes
It is so powerful and fine
The rocks were thinned out
To create a smooth dust that I touch with my fingers, a slight brush
And it reminds me of how I will end up one day
Toasted and becoming at last a grey dust
Like the remains of a vacuum
I will live at the beach
Where the sun beams
And its beauty is even more fantastic
Once it leaves us, slowly disappearing
Only then you see the beauty of its colors
Only then the sea disappears into darkness
To showcase what the sun brought to the table
As cold breeze now gives me chills
I sit and watch the fluorescent orange ember of the sky
It is so beautiful I could cry
Oh, everyday I leave to the beach
It is where my heart sings
The only place I can stand still
And my inhale and exhales are in sync
With the ocean waves as it hesitates
To move in
It comes and go
Just like our soul
