i know you best

A Poem by Jovilious

I know him well.
I wanted to tattoo the words on my heart,
or at the very least on my stomach
to put an end to the hurricane that rooted itself inside.
It may only be a simple thing, but I knew him,
in a way they didn’t, and hearing it said out
loud was like a ton of bricks being thrust upon me at once.
They all said the same thing: He wants me to know him more.

Utter frustration; like a hurricane (nice metaphor) can drive you nuts; if you wrote it as a tattoo, may it calm you? Nice write Jovilious!
