Crying Myself to Sleep

Crying Myself to Sleep

A Poem by AmazinGrace

And I will cry myself to sleep
For the last time
For God awaits me in the morning
As the sun crawls upon the sky
And I will shine just as he
Leaving the drowning tears behind me
They’re replaced by the rain drops
That drop slowly and wonderfully
As if a gift from above
They’re crowded and lonely
Just as once, my fate
And darkness begins to fade
So I must sleep now
With tears in my eyes
And I will watch the dark turn to light
In both the sky and my life
Asleep, and dreaming of peace
This will be the last
Of crying myself to sleep

AmazinGrace
I actually wrote this when I was literally crying myself to sleep. It's probably, in my opinion, the best poem I've written so far.
