the fog inside the town

you found yourself lost inside a town full of fog

you start walking around trying to find that man, as you're walking you see thick fog off in the distance, you start to walk to it when you hear a siren, you run to the closest building, once inside you realize that you're inside a diner, you go under the bar, then the siren stops, you peek up to see that the fog as taken over the outside, you hear something coming from the fog, you start to back up closer to wall, you see a hand touch the window, it slowly slides off, you start to walk around the diner, you find the backroom once inside you find an old phone, there are three unread messages on the phone, message 1 says, "Jason they're gone they're all gone" message 2 says "Jason don't go into the fog" message 3 says "Jason i found a way out meet me at the church", you start looking around the room more to find a tunnel leading to the next building, you find yourself inside of an old store, you start looking around to find supply's, you find an old flashlight, you keep looking around to find a ladder to the roof, once you get up you see a body laying on the ground, the body has a name tag you found Jason, the phone goes off, you got a text that says, "Jason where are you?" you reply and say "Jason's dead", the phone goes silent, you start look at the body to find out how he died, his left arm looks burned, you step away from the body to realize that the fog has left, you look for a way off the roof, once you get down you start to see burn marks covering up the walls and road, as you walk the phone goes off, its a text from Jason's friend it says "what happened to him?" you reply with "i don't know his left arm looked like it was burned" you get another message saying "the f*****g fog" you reply with "whats with the fog anyway" you don't get a message back, so you keep walking only to hear that siren again you run to the closest building, once you're inside the phone goes off the message says "god i hope you made it to safety" you reply with "what is with this fog" you get another message from him saying "this fog will burn your skin and turn you into something else" you reply with "what do you mean?", the phone goes silent, you hear tapping on the glass, you walk to the window to see a burned face starring at you, as it stares it taps on the window, you decide you tap back but once you do, more faces show up, you hear more tapping, as it continues you start to hear banging, you step back from the window as it starts to crack, you start to look for a way out, you find a back door, you run outside hoping the fog isn't there, you are in a alleyway, to your amazement there is no fog but a symbol is on the wall, its somehow keeping the fog away, you use the phone to take a picture of it, you look around hoping to find a way out, you see a hole in the wall leading to another room, once inside you find yourself in what it looks like a motel, you decide to text that man saying "i should have asked this first but what happened here" he reply's with " the fog came from the lab over the hill as with everything else", you send another message saying "i saw your other messages you said you know a way to leave" he reply's with "i do if you come to the church ill tell you", you start looking out the window to see that the fog is leaving the town as it does you can see the church the man told you about, you make a run for it but before you get to the church the fog surrounds you, it starts to get closer and closer till, the man comes running out with that symbol painted on a piece of paper letting him run through the fog, he grabs you and takes you inside, once inside you say "what was that about" he says "the fog let you out just to trap you" you ask "what happened to the town" he reply's with "this town was once a nice place till that lab came they said they would helps but they took citizens and used them as subjects then they made this damn fog and let it go in the town", you say to the man "that's terrible but how do we get out of here" the man reply's with "there is an old fire watch tower to the west of here we can use its radio to signal for help", but as he is talking you hear banging on the windows, the glass starts to break, the fog starts to go inside you two turn around to go out of the door to find the fogs victims blocking your way, you close your eyes waiting for death, the man pulls you to the floor as you hear gun shots, you open your eyes to see a bunch of armed soldiers standing over you, they grab you and the man, they knock the both of you out,
