The onlooker

The onlooker

A Poem by Lara

An onlooker to this anarchy
the twisted bystander
self-declare detached
entirely immersed in maintaining
the only thing they could give her
the lonely title
now she forgets to see
the fire behind the others eyes
they come so close
do not touch
prey on such weakness
her flame is extinguished
before her walls are even trod.
