Cynical Myth

Cynical Myth

A Poem by SWANN

I cease peace, I cease freedom, I cease love.

I crave mournful perfection,

And a clear visible thought.

I want all my people to be loyal to me.

I want all their lives to be mine to keep.

I’m a cynical controller, a madman, like the myth.

I want to enjoy your happiness,

And destroy it with a click.

Nobody understands how much I crave control over your lives.

I want you to be more loyal than a dog.

And more punctual than the night.

I will save you, will love you; will make you addicted to my blood.

After you’re loyal, I will break you again, just to satisfy my own laugh.

All the love within me, all the passion I can give.

I prefer to keep buried in my soul, until the right one comes to keep.

You’ll wonder just how deep my black veins can sink into your life.

The answer has no limitations, just like the hatred in my heart.
