Beyond

This story is basically painting a picture of my imagination, and the world i live in inside my head

Beyond

She watched their lives go by, white noise droning

They all dreamed in grey, never reaching higher than the sky

But she was above them, dancing with the moon

She looked down and laughed, to them she was strange

As she swam through the stars and twirled alongside planets

She wondered if they could ever understand,

If they could ever see the magic that was there

It fluttered around them in a colorful light but never touched

It gathered her up and entered the cracks of her broken soul,

Consuming the shadows that had poisoned her for so long

It brought her to the deepest depths where no man had ever been;

But it was not lonely.

She flew higher than the angels could ever imagine;

Past the glittering galaxies, past oblivion, into realms of inconceivable beauty and mystery,

And somehow it was familiar.

She confided in the wisest creatures, who considered her royalty;

Comforted by the face of a white mammoth, adored in the eyes of a troll

She fell in love with a monster, who believed in her dream

He taught her how darkness can often shed light

In enchanted places she fought battles; a valiant hero

She was cherished in her kingdom, by beasts and seraphs alike

Now she was as she had always wanted to be;
