Your Decision

Your Decision

A Poem by Laurie

If you are feeling, down and low.
I dare you to think, of someone worse off, that you know.
Now picture yourself, in their shoes.
Would you like to be them?
Or are you glad being you?
Life is never going to be a bed of roses.
Not even for those, who stick up their noses.
Everyone experiences their own highs and lows.
It is okay to feel sad and pity yourself,
as long as you know when to let go.
No two lives are exactly the same.
No one lives a perfect life. It is all just a game.
Now you have a decision to make.
To live your life to the fullest. Or wallow at the brink.
Are you going to leave this world,
known for how positive you were?
Or are you going to live out your days, in constant sorrow?
Not leaving much of a legacy, that's for sure.

Sometimes we need to look at the great picture the bigger scale. We can’t let ourselves drown in sorrow. We must rise from the ashes stronger and soar
