All I Am

All I Am

A Poem by leatherandlace
"

When you think you are grounded, something will push you.

"

I am a grain of sand

being pushed and pulled

by the strong currents

of the stream.

Moving too quickly

to stick to anything

solid.

Even when the waters calm

I am still in motion,

floating above the ground

beneath me.

Unable to touch down.

Constantly softened

and swirled

and washed away.

Moving sideways

upside down

forwards

backwards.

But never moving on.
