Generation Y

Generation Y

A Poem by Leeci
"

To everyone who's afraid of my generation, suck on this.

"

you look at me tryin to find the right words to say

all i can do is sit in smile ill get whats rightfully mine today

go ahead and walk away i know youll come back with those venom lips and tell me

that im nothing and i have no respect im just another lost soul in this generation yet

im the youth that you envy with the perfect lips

im the beauty your looking for as i swing my hips

your jealous because we are what you could never be

you might be proud but you havent even gotten to know me

its not my fault the world is this way if anyone your to blame

you think about now when im thinking about my kids

because of our mistakes will never amount to this

ive never kissed a girl, ive never done drugs, i know right from wrong i trust in god above

im smarter then most and all i do is love

yet since the age is different you think you know so much more then me

but when you were my age you had just gotten the talk about the birds and the bees

i just hope you shallow everyone of those words

because im going to change the world

im the youth you fear

im the one who will take care of you in a few of years

go ahead and back talk me because youve got yours coming

be afraid of me because im the one whos goin to go

down in history like no one before

im the one whos knockin on the futures door

im the generation that will shake this world

be very afraid because im headin straight on doing what i was meant for

so kiss my a*s because id rather be poor

then to have thousands die in a civil war

but what are you doing exept funding it and what for

to get fat off of dead parents children

to get rich off of the oil in your soul

i hope you go to hell buddy because i hope youll wake up and know

that your time is up and the future is now

put up your hands and throw your guards down

im the one who has to clean up your stinking mess

because of you im not proud to say im from the US

so down on your knees and mop the floor

just like all those youve made before

your getting what you deserve plus so much more.

wow!

I'm sort of a youth activist, i didn't take me long to be moved by this very pro-youth poem. :)
the much-stereotyped and prejudiced youth (because of what they so-called "our immaturity") finally had the voice in this poem.

the only thing we youth must always remember is to also consider the wisdom the elderly had acquired throughout their age. but only if we sensed that it was right, and it will improve us; and we must respect the old, but hey, only if they deserve respect and if they are acting respectable!

fascinating work, my friend! :)
