It was always on the rainy days of spring. In the kitchen, eating strawberries and cream.
With the big windows where we had got rid of the curtains, Was the deck in the backyard with a small gazebo It wasn’t anything fancy or even the most breath-taking structure to look at But it was still beautiful to look at when the sun had set Or when the sun would rise for breakfast I never got to go out much, so I relied on the entertainment of nature So while being stuck on the inside I tried to value what was on the outside
The backyard always had many animals coming to visit From deer families whose baby fawn would lay in the backyard, right after the fawn had been born From the groundhogs that took over the whole deck underground and would come out for dinner when we would as well To the squirrels and bunnies hopping and running around and the beautiful birds chirping with red robins and blue jays, But there was only one animal who would come over almost every day It was this gorgeous chubby orange cat
The orange cat liked to come around at any time of the day They would always pick the chair on the left side and sleep on the cushions right under the gazebo
One time the orange cat brought 3 other cat friends All different colors and breeds They were having a little party on the deck And the orange cat brought another who was Siamese They went under the gazebo while the other two cats were hanging out And they both relaxed on one chair each And with that The window became a heavenly canvas A painting created by mother earth herself
Some may say that I give it too much meaning But what's wrong with it I was just appreciating what was in front of me I was looking at the creations that I had taken for granted The art drawn by whichever goddess or god you believe had created it Because regardless of that The orange cat Was always in an admirable state of mind and cherished their small friend group Even when it was a rainy day and they were by themself Because even when the outside doesn’t look pleasant Life is still beautiful And that’s how id assume the cat would feel Under the gazebo avoiding the rain Yet still surrounded by it And enjoying the sound while napping peacefully.
Then the next morning The cat would be gone But they would always come back another day. So, there was nothing to be sad about Under the gazebo The cat will lay And all my worries Will go away. © 2020 EstrellaAuthor's Note
