Fear

Fear

A Poem by lei

fear slowly slaughtered her hopes

the courage no longer stand

and the shadow of pain

weakens her heart to believe.

its power to own reached deeper

beyond the core of her heart

dominating her will to survive

and she was left morosely.

once again she's knocked out

stumbled on the ground

frightened

but not loses hope.

Hope is a fragile thought... it needs belief and care. But it is also quite a powerful force. I hope all is well in your world.

This clearly shows the "pain" and despair of this girl...
passionately and poignantly written...
couple spots were a little sketchy...
I agree with "blue"...last line would read better" but does not lose hope"
and I think...I'm not sure, I think "she was left morose" works better.
Also, and this you seem to work through...you continually move from past tense to present which confuses me a bit...
Not to be too critical lei...second line might work better with "stands" or "stood"...It's a verb-noun agreement thing...
This may sound like I'm nit picking lei...and perhaps I am... I became more aware of this stuff as the editors tore through my writes I submitted and made similar comments.
I really liked the write...I thought it showed your vulnerability...and strength, in a concise, precise manner
Well done

A poem that really resonates with me.
The last line? Yes never lose hope!
Thanks

Shouldn't the last line read....."But doesn't lose hope." ?

just a thought. Well done however.
