The Chinese Room

The Chinese Room

A Poem by leonard zinovyev
"

Creeds and schools in abeyance. Trippers and askers in abeyance...

"

Creeds and schools in abeyance.

Trippers and askers in abeyance.

All machinery puts to scorn the narrowest hinge in my finger.

The most intricate machinery is more complex than a joint of a finger.

Come, my boys and girls, my women, household and intimates,

and join the intricate machinery.

If you want me again, don’t look for me under your boot-soles.

The advent of AI, malevolent or friendly,

that mimics the human mind,

a random process where the future is independent on the past

given the present.
