Ballad of You

Ballad of You

A Poem by letroit
"

Just some lyric I wrote

"

Well I’m sitting where I sit

An I’m Going where I’m going

An I’m Showing what I’ve shown

But I’m not too far from home

When the darkness starts to fade

And there’s nothing left to say

The fire in your eyes

Makes me feel, feel alive

Spending times looking back

Lazing in the summer grass

Getting high amongst our friends

Those days they never end

Would you like to know a place?

Where it’s safe and warm

Sheltered from the storm

Let me take you away

I’m driving in my car

Down this dirty highway

I stop outside your house

To prepare for what I say

I take you by the hand

And kneel upon my knee

Then I ask you the question.

Will you marry me?
