A Poem by letters to parvati

regional inclement weather delayed my arrival at a diner
3:00AM...i fastened myself to a booth, picked up a napkin i made dirty with lipstick
i kissed sorrowful poems on it
sad words and flightless birds
ink dark and grainy like homemade films in the '70s
the coffee was hot, thick, steaming hieroglyphs to a stained ceiling
i wrote "I HATE" in bold, black, block letters
her hand pulled my mug closer to the pot
poured a shot
adrenaline in my head and hate on my mind
instant satisfaction of the fingers when a pen's sitting in it
pressed hard
i tore the napkin
the napkin that said nothing

I read all your work and it is original and powerful.
The part I pasted above is wonderful stuff, great images and wordplay.
It reads, to me, like some of the old beat writers.
I have no idea how old you are but your writing has a maturity and worldliness to it.
I hope to see more from you.
Nice work
