Beautiful bloom

Beautiful bloom

A Poem by Alexis

She calls herself a flower,
This was just a time when her bud died.
And now she's blooming bigger and brighter
Than she ever had.

The pedals slowly open up
And she is able to show everyone her beauty.
Her leaves are stronger than ever,
Holding her head up high.

And her stem
Is nice and straight.
After the time broke it
And now fixed it.

The ground beneath her keeps her steady
As she grows nice and tall,
Just to show everyone what she has become.

A garden is only as beautiful as what's in it.
So with all the other withered flowers next to her,
She leans down to help them grow up
Just as tall and beautiful as she is.

The personification of the flower is wonderful in this poem. The imagery is rich and vivid. It seems this might be a bit introspective. I liked it. Lydi**
