My cupcake

My cupcake

A Poem by Alexis

They call her a cupcake.

Because that is exactly what she is.
Everyone see's the sweet iceing that's on top,
But only a few can actually get to the wrapper of the cupcake.

They think that the wrapper is what is of her,
But it's not.
They haven't seen the actual cupcake yet.
They haven't gotten to have a taste of what she's like.

She knows that one day her cupcake will finally die out,
Die from all of the people trying to get to the cupcake.

Her cupcake is almost dead, now.
And everything that is around her
Just makes her go black,
And the demons that help complete her cupcake
Make her go crazy.

Her cupcake has been living for so long
Because of the demons stuck inside of her.
She want them out,
But they are now a piece of her
And if they leave,
So will she.

All cupcakes don't last forever,
And hers seem's to be dieing
Faster than the ones around her.

She only has the iceing to show them,
So they can't see the pain -
Screaming inside of her head.

Every night,
Her cupcake seems to die a little more,
As she looses another piece of her.
And every tear she sheds
Is another piece of her falling apart.

This is a very interesting comparison. Very original. Like the song Peaches by the Presidents of the USA. But a bit more serious. Anyway, good job. :)
