YOU'RE THE BLOOD IN MY VEINS

YOU'RE THE BLOOD IN MY VEINS

A Poem by lexie_bear
"

I wrote this a while back for a boy

"
You know, I would really love
to place the blanket of shame over you -

not for the sake of your quivering body,
but for the simple purpose that YOU ARE COLD AS F**K

I would ask you to thread your hand within mine
but I remember that your wintry touch
will only provoke a corrupting FROSTBITE upon
my skin

the way you refused to even glance at me was crisp
and when you did, however, you only chilled my bones to the point
where my flesh felt more like an igloo than it ever could
as a body

F**K YOU FOR INFUSING YOUR FRIGID FROST
WITHIN MY DAMNED ARTERIES

I was never supposed to be THIS fucked up
but thanks to you,
snow floods my blood, and not in the pretty sort of snowflake
way

IT STIFFLY FREEZES MY VEINS AND THE ICICLES ARE
PIERCING THROUGH MY SKIN
