What Happen To We

What Happen To We

A Poem by Lexie Carmon

What Happened To We

It was never just me
It was never just you
For a while we were we
thats what everyone knew

But one day you decided
I just wasnt for you
And thats when you left me
For that girl in blue

Now you and her
have formed a we
You have now moved on
And forgotten about me.

To you I say I'm happy
Thats what i want you to see
But to those that know me
Know that cannot be

They always see me moping
Although I say I'm coping
Thats obviously a lie
Loving him, I cant deny.

In my opinion, this is a very well written work. Your last two stanzas really capture my heart, the accuracy and truthfulness of it aptly depict the broken heart

DEEP, a true expression of how much love can HURT. Love, the double edge sword, best feeling in the world when it's there, tears you to pieces when it's gone. Great poem very well written. Stay Strong, when the next prince charming comes along you will forget all about him. It always happens like that even though we feel like we are dying until it does. And from your pick I'd say it's his loss.

This is a pretty great poem Lexie! Common feelings uncommonly displayed. I enjoyed reading this even though the message is a sad one.
