In My Head

In My Head

A Poem by lhawkins

I started writing within my head

My letters to you with tears I shed

And when I got the chance to say,

To give my heart of fabrigé,

You built me up by tier, by tier,

Which knocked me down each tear, and tear.

And lachrymose, I can’t resist,

The joy I felt when we first kissed.

I write you verse awake in bed.

When you console, my ardence you fed,

And only to you, I am not mute,

You deftly shine this rusting flute.

Each moment we touch takes my breath away,

Whatever you want to take, you may.

I cannot cease from loving you,

Just tell me if you want me too.
