No one knew I cried or how much pain was inside No one knew I cried when I'd find a hole and hide No one knew I cried when happy children ran by No one knew I cried when no one let me try No one knew I cried when mom and dad would fight No one knew I cried when nothing would go right No one knew I cried as I walked the streets each day No one knew I cried when I couldn't see my way No one knew I cried from morning into night No one knew I cried when the clouds covered the sunlight No one knew I cried when I seemed so full of life No one knew I cried When you could cut the tension with a knife No one knew I cried when to my face the lied But everyone heard me cry the day my mother died.
