The Great Flood

The Great Flood

A Poem by Libby

The Great Flood

The rain sneaks in

On pitter-pattering little mouse feet,

Then gains momentum

Until it becomes a charging bull

Rampaging over the drought-stricken plains,

Quenching the Earth’s eternal thirst.
