Differences

Differences

A Poem by Abby Ludwig

Your hands are the con's mouth
Slowly spitting out the lies of the world
Your feet are the evil foundations of a house supported by sin
Ever so slightly pushing down and hiding the wicked
Your head is the scarlet beast
Made so beautiful as to hide your nature
Your eyes are artificial made of plastic and tin
They're just another door to the evil one's den
Your heart tastes of newly sour milk
It was once very tasty but now has gone bad
Your words are a frustrated potter
Trying to mold my soul, but you seem to be unable
Your inability to control your surroundings frightens you
My hands are the sheriff
Arresting the con's of the earth
My feet stand like a house on cement
Cement made by God that will never break or bend
My head isn't there
It's lost in the clouds
My eyes are wells
With the hole in the center you can see my soul
My heart is used to wash away evil
I put down the bad
Still their particles remain on me
My words are the earth
Teaching and preaching of the good in the world
