I'm Not Ready

I'm Not Ready

A Poem by Faith Almazan

I struggle with time.

               It goes on--

                        I'm not ready.

Decisions.

           Am I right?

      Can't go back,

                      time regretting,

               every moment I missed.

                      Alone by choice.

          Isolation,

            causes me grief.

      Can't be bold.

         Won't let love in.

I feel out of place.

                 I don't belong. Around people

                    I'm strong,

                               I'm a fake.

Once they're gone, I'm the weak one.

I don't trust anyone.

      Time never develops faith.

Why do I give chances to people

when they're selfish and won't change?
