A Guru

What it means to have a Guru in your life

We are born

on some specific day

But life do we only adorn

when our Guru shows us the way

We have many goals

and aspirations

And life shows you many roles

which marks the foundations

Today i celebrate

the birthday of my Guru

Which gives me joy innate

and removes all things blue

A day like this

comes once a year

But gives you bliss

which makes you feel dear

A lot is said and done

about being spiritual

But guarantee given by none

about mundane rituals 

Then what is it

that makes it a joyful path

Which is not one to sit

but get a head start

I think the answer

lies more within you

For to be a dancer

you must be aware of the dew

It is with a thanks

that i would end this verse-ry

For gratitude lies in the ranks

who revels in life's nursery
