maybe it's just me

maybe it's just me

A Poem by Charlotte e.e. Griffiths

i spit out the few teeth i lost in that
fight three years ago
now, in the middle of a conversation
about absolutely nothing
and nobody really
says anything
about it, no one
even hesitates. i
guess i'm just sick
of hoping for things
that don't exist
and expecting
more;
i guess it's
time i just grew
up or something, maybe
start reading the
paper or getting into
political arguments (i'll
be sure to pick a specific
side this time).
maybe it's just too late
to say anything
important
(and be heard).

LOL what side are you on dear Charlotte the write side or the left or are you to the left of the right smack dab in between or just not choosing a side cause that's a choice to says neil peart anyhow:) I have never been able to keep my upper front teeth bu the way so I know your pain cant wait for dentures much easier to replace and much less painful synthetic teeth that's the ticket! I loved this poem it made me laugh and then ramble and then laugh a bit more:)
