A New Direction

A New Direction

A Poem by Dana Kathryn
"

I wrote this when i was feeling hopeful in a time of suffering...

"
Life is painful
Life is dim
Life feels gloomy
to much rain
my brain is insane
no more love
no more light
praying to the Lord
begging him to cut the cord
I need hope
I need Faith
I need his Grace
I need a home
not just a place
I refuse to die such a disgrace
Need to keep the pace
Need to run the race
I am not bound by my fears
Need someone who listens and hears
I am so tiered of all the tears
I want to be happy the rest of my years
No more fighting
Just Loving
I trust in God to guide my path
To make me whole again
To bring me hope and the love of a man
Unconditional Love...I Demand!!!

This is very sweet, it tells of strength to push and persevere through the hard times we all are forced to encounter several times through our lives. Knowing that if you over come, you will be able to look back on that moment of despair and be thankful you handeled it the way you did. Great poem

You've created a piece so many of us can relate too.. going through the dark times, yet looking to God for that light... for hope.. to lift the pain and suffering.. I love the powerful honesty of your work here. And yes.. how we all need to find that unconditional love..

This does have a fast pace and that adds to the emotions of the peace. A very well written piece...

This is meant to be read out loud at some kind of poetry reading. To me is got a fast pace most of the time, but those places it slows as if it give emphasis to your thoughts. Really liked this one!
