Hopeless Attraction

Hopeless Attraction

A Poem by Nami Machae

A girl with a smile on her face
happy, loving
but looks can always be decieving
to those that can see but are blind.

She had loved him so
worshipped the ground he walked on
just to be thrown aside
for someone new

She goes home
and watches as the blood runs down
a smooth, silk thread
slowly fading from red to black

Closing her eyes
she knows that its over
And with her last breath
she whispers,"Goodbye"

People can be so blind, and I like the way you portrayed that in such a blatant way that grabs the readers' attention from beginning to end. Excellent work.
