Disguise

Disguise

A Poem by liltornado

At midnight, is when remembering is the sweetest

It’s when my heart cries at its hardest

As weather blends in time, and

The sky shows its different shades

I’m trying to put myself out of misery

Misery that has the most charm and deceit as a snake

I’m still remembering in these dreams,

The reasons to push on between the shoulders

Of sharks and alligators,

Open me up, and read every wound with your eyes

And you’ll see this skin I wear is just the disguise
