Tarklee

Tarklee

A Poem by Donald Meikle

Through a glass tarklee
Out here looking in
With memories clinging
Like ocean silk skin

Dripping heart fingers
wet running down
lost loving lingers
dead echoes of sound

scary and blurry
Turning away
weary and teary
It's hurting to stay

Through the glass tarklee
I stare and you blur
Hope cries in your message
How I wish I was there
