Terra Miss you

Terra Miss you

A Poem by Donald Meikle

The old roller was a discolor of yellow
More'n likely due to the rush to taste buds
Careful fingers filled the groove from end to end
Then closed and rolled well dried crackling weed
The one and a quarter paper slid in to roll and lick
Three turns for luck then out she popped
He tapped the ends like the many Camels of old
Then added it to the six others in the empty Altoid can
The peppermint flavor actually cooled the first hits
So the high wasn't wasted on coughing
Some days everything went right.
Tonight was going to be perfect.
Can't y' see by Marshal Tucker
Coconut rum with cocoa and whipped cream
Seared tuna in a sugared balsamic onion pepper gravy
Twenty minutes in the hot tub
Then a tea tree oil full body mutual massage
The only thing missing was tira misu

I love how the title compares with the poem - very creative. And while I do not agree with drug use or smoking (and I'm guessing this is what you are referencing) I admire what you have done in this poem. unique. :)
