Fog Fancy Feeling

Fog Fancy Feeling

A Poem by Donald Meikle

out side here floating in wisp
reaching into aimless futility
holding fast to free falling tendrils
flailing in crosshatch swooping loops
melting like youthful memories
of dreams of yesterday that fester away to
yellow pollen clouds of disappearing dust
twisting into dark eternity
breaking concentration
shattering decisiveness
To catch your freely flying fears and comfort them
To soft caress your chill soft skin in sudden flowing warmth
Hold you close against the cold of ever waiting dark
This ever twisting wisp of nether
ever tries to loose my tether
as I reach in one more try
To touch your feelings
calm your soul
and make you whole
to soar and fly
