Flight Plan

Flight Plan

A Poem by Donald Meikle

caressing shadows in the glare of Fancys foggy runway
Expectant exultation holding breath behind my throat
Soon the rush of living dream in shiver singing soar
Will carry me to slowered time and bended light of more
Free to twist and twirl and dive through thoughts so almost seen
Arranging them like firework lights in endless nights
To wake and entertain
Fancies dancing colors short circuiting my brain
The laughing downhill running joy of sweet forever young
Stays yet with me so faithfully
A song upon my tongue
