Who defines me better

Is it my own children or other half

Can it be my parents or kith and kin

Is it my friend or colleagues for any chance

Can it be my opponents who watch me so keen

Is my consciousness or shadow for sake

Can it be my church and synagogue members

Is it the stranger I see every day at the bus stop

Can it be the person in the mirror I look every day

My pillow defines me better I believe

My dog and cat  says a lot about me

The tree in front of my front door can say few things

They are the only ones I really share my feelings

I think this is a question that a lot of us asks ourselves.. what defines us.. is it our roles in life, our careers, our accomplishments, our family?... I don't think any "thing" defines us, nor any "role".. What defines you is who YOU are.. how you feel, what you think, how you act... not anyone else or anything else... (just my humble opinion) nice write...

This a very relatable subject matter. It would seem that those around us are the ones that should define us, when in fact, some of us are better defined by the solitude we surround ourselves with. I'd say my dog, my writing and the sky that I stare at so often is what truly defines me, but others can not see that. This is a very insightful, inspiring piece of art you have here.
