Tell me for whom you deliberately do this

Turn off the TV get out of the couch

Open the windows and doors of your mind

Enjoy the most fragrant roses and the chirping of blue jay

I believe only a very small percent is genuine depression, other types can bounce back if you are vigilant, am not depressed but has potential for it, so try to be vigilant

i think some just feel safer in avoidance.

lose myself in tv...in another world...then i don't have to face my own.


really like this piece...last line second stanza might be smoother with "you deliberately do this"

but yes, people need to "open the windows of their minds" those windows have been shut for way too long.

Thanks a lot for the review and the help, really appreciate, we dig our own grave yard and bury ourselves for what, no clue, we could have plant some vegetable or flowers in that grave to enjoy the fruit of our own sweat, but the truth is support system to break the vicious circle is some how too weak, so let the black dog roam around free attacking young and old alike

Thanks a lot for the review, initially I was embarrassed even to admit the fact I have potential for depression, but when I see the young people and so talented ones going through it and not trying to be cautious I felt like I have to write few lines, I literally hate the crowd who pushes these victims towards it with no gain to none

I couldn't imagine what your title was about until I read your poem, fancy way of saying 'couch potato clever. ' Tripped a bit over Is 'it really for me or for you all these meant'...not sure if it's passionless-ness or about someone really depressed who finds nothing in life to look forward to.

Depression as per my definition is a phenomenon when support system is too weak, I can be totally wrong, who am I another depressed candidate, so I am afraid to call depression by it's own name, so I call it flat bicycle tire, drained souls, burnt candle, idiot sacrificed for others so on, so that perception might have reflected in the poem too, thanks a lot for the review, take care
