![]() ChiruthaA Poem by Linda alexander
You can see her where clams dream
There you see small boat with clams There is no fixed hours or toiling She sees both sunrise and sunset both at work She is toiling for her only child Her skin never saw sun screen When mom dreams big of her son The sun never mild on her at work Did you notice her aging day by day I saw it but not by day by day Her son became a prince in later years Chirutha became mother of prince Concrete houses in city had sun shades She controlled sun rays after decades Chirutha says journey was worth closer to end She claims life path paved with hard rocks There stands the single mom so proud Her son makes her world and beyond Chirutha dreamed in the midst of nowhere Why I can’t even dream in a normal day © 2023 Linda alexanderReviews
