Mary Ellen Mae CyrusA Poem by Linda Marie Van TassellJune 12, 1927 – September 27, 2020Mary is immortal, a candle burning bright, a stained-glass window sparkling from the light within. Resounding like an echo, heart to heart unite. Years cannot lessen what lives on from what has been. Every child is grateful, from greatest to the slight. Let wings of love soar on and onward yet again. Let fly her heart in heaven, above mountain height, embracing those who love her so happy therein. Never to be forgotten, she outlives her days. Memories ripple like whispering waves to impart. A bride, mom, and beacon of blinding golden rays - each day she lived lives yet still, never to depart. Creator God, Father God, cradle her with praise. Your precious daughter was a lamplight from the start. Rivers run, day is done, the world Your wonder weighs. Unlatch the door, your children stand a world apart so that they sing as sparrows nesting in your heart. “A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.” Mary blessed the world with warmth and joy and ceaseless
love. Endless skies abound over waters and earthen trek. Now she dances in Your presence in heaven above. © 2024 Linda Marie Van TassellAuthor's NoteReviews
