Faded and Pink

for my love

when the sky gets all faded and pink

and can no longer shine bright blue 

I sit here and stare at the sky

and idly I think of you

I dream of your soft caress

And your smile that is miles wide

the love that fills me of you

is like the constant ebb of the tide

It washes over my body wholly

and fills me with its warm embrace

as I close my eyes I'm free

all I can dream of is your face

I can almost feel your lips at my ear

whispering a love thats so true

and even though my sky is all faded and pink

you have the strength to turn it electric blue

as the wind brushes over my hair

and people pass me by

they ask me why I'm so entirely happy

and I smile because I know why
