7:18 to be exact.

Only about 3 hours until i leave
Just a quick note on myspace,
then I’m off.

A quick glance at the clock,
I’ve got time to run to the corner store for a coke.

I can hear him coming...

Turn up my ipod,
No time but now.
I see him getting closer,
And a slight smile creeps onto my face.
Check my watch and he's right on time.
I close my eyes and stand still.
I’ve got a date with a train tonight.

Author's Note

my purpose for the repeated line is that i'd like to think that deep down inside, there's a tiny piece that keeps saying "this is wrong, etc. don't do it." i think she's trying to talk herself into getting to those tracks and standing her ground.
