Remember to Forget

Remember to Forget

A Poem by Davidgeo
"

sometimes that's best

"

life's a b***h when it hurts to exist

she said. . .

"he got more than just her sink wet"

and on our free will. . .

there is a life of certainty

at the cost of serendipity

a cost that's

too much but not enough to love

and so you and i live here

whole and all broken

dissolving in the same place

into very dear pieces

that maybe won't always

inside our own dear world

make any sense in the same place

enough to see the world

true and full

beyond the things we are

before we ever came

I felt the sex almost immediately - then I felt a shift - but then I am not a surface dweller - the last stanza speaks all the volumes to me - then I skip back to the second stanza and interpret that in my own way - my personality is not one to accept a life of certainty - I am still trying to understand why that is - certainty though can be put into a mould of conditioning in its own right - what is 'acceptable' in society and what is not. If we can slide our way into serendipity though - well then why the heck not?

I read a quite just this morning ...

“Just be you. I’ll be me. And we’ll meet somewhere in the middle.” this resonated with your forth stanza - I like that ...

anyway you - nice to see you (or not) take care X
