A Story by anandbose
"

It's a Journal.

"

Morning decorated itself like a garland of flowers. The muses were chanting sweet music. I feel so awed and contented by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

I am still reading Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians. Paul talks of spiritual gifts given by God and they are:

Wise Counsel

Clear Understanding

Healing the Sick

Miraculous Acts

Proclamation

Speaking in Tongues

Distinguishing Spirit

Paul says that we are one body having many parts that are united. So is our body united in Christ.

Paul speaks about a Homily about love:

‘If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but have not love: I am a rusty creaking gate. If I preach God’s Word and all its mysteries in plain language and if I say to the mountain be moved and yet have not love, I am nothing. If I give everything to the poor and be burned as a martyr but I have not love, I am nothing’. To love God and others is the greatest Gift that God has bequeathed.

‘Love never gives up

Love cares for others more than the self.

Love doesn’t strut.

Love doesn’t have a swelled head.

Love doesn’t force itself on others.

Love doesn’t fly of the handle.

Love doesn’t revel when others grovel.

Love keeps no record of sins.

Love takes pleasure in knowing the truth.

Love puts up with anything.

Love always trusts God.

Love always looks for the best.

Love never looks back.

Love keeps going to the end.’

About
There's a joke about me that when I was baptized I pissed on the cassock of the priest and my tryst with iconoclasm being then I am a Hellenic Philistine, an Existential Nihilist, a staunch Epicurea.. more..
