Lights Out

Lights Out

A Poem by Livia Rose

We do our best thinking when the lights are off.  When we're lying in bed, eyes wide open, yet seeing nothing but what's in our minds.  In the dark, with no one watching, judging, commenting, we lose all our inhibitions, and allow ourselves the freedom to think whatever we want.  We let ourselves explore our craziest fantasies, make up wild scenarios, replay and plan out situations and conversations in our heads--anything is possible.  We know no limits, we have no boundaries, yet this is okay, because we're alone with our thoughts, and anything can happen.
